Another Day, Another HPT

Back at work today so no early blogging anymore. Boo for not being able to blog at work and spread the good news that today's HPT came up quicker and darker and clearer.

Tomorrow I have my birthday MOT. You know, where they check everything, especially the diabetes. It is my favourite nurse who does it and I am going to persuade her to add another blood test to the myriad she will already be taking.

Cos Tertia says it is an emergency!!!

Not that my diabetic nurse will know Tertia. Well, I don't think so, anyway. That girl does get around, even at her advanced age ;)

Anything is possible.

Being back at work today sucked as I had a gazillion e-mails from the last 3 weeks to catch up on and all I really wanted to do was lay my head down on the desk and sleep. And gaze at those 2 tests, wonderingly.

No, I did not take them to work with me. The thought did cross my mind but you know when you are in a hurry and rifling through your bag and you accidentally pull out some feminine mahoodgies in front of the mail boy??? Yes, well. I left them safely at home.

PS Lynnette, I have to tell you that the neg test on Friday was with one of those cheapie tests you sent me. I don't like them at all. FRER have a much bigger space to examine for microscopic traces of HCG. Just saying ;)

1. I love frer's too. (I don't know how you didn't bring them to work - honestly, are you going to rush through the door to the tests, with nary a word to Mr. P? hehe.).

2. Work is horrid - how could they do this to us?

3. Yay for cuddles that turn into - anyway.

4. AH!!! When would you get blood results? Honestly, we need a timeline. Stomach doing loop de loops.

Be still my beating heart

OH MY FUCK!

I can't believe you made us wait all day for an update. V cruel.

I can't bear it. Really. I need a bloody drink.

Tell that nurse that unless she wants an elderly wild woman from deepest darkest Africa on her case, she better HURRY THE FUCK UP with the test results. Otherwise you are going to have to cut your finger and ship the blood over to SA and I will test the damn blood myself.

Because really. This is all about me, you know.

Good luck dear heart, I have all my bits crossed for you.

xxxxx

Oh, send love to Mr P too

OMG! Quicker, darker and clearer? Oh, that's got to be good news it just has to be! I'm really rooting for you. I'm holding my breath waiting for the beta (and I know you haven't even had blood draw yet). Argh! Hang in there and keep us posted!

Yeah...what Tertia said! Throw those fucking Dollar Tree HPTS away! Alex the gourmet turned me on to those, but I would have hated them if I hadn't already gotten ++ on FRERs and Clear Blue Easy digitals. I'm going to need a shot of MacAllan before this is all over...

Quicker and darker? That's good. Negative on a dollar test? That's just your penance for not using a proper test to begin with.

We must have betas right now. Feed the beast.

Thinking good strong beta thoughts.

Oh why didn't you tell us that the first hpt was one of those dollar ones?!

Now, go quick and get that beta from fave nurse!

long time reader/fellow DE'er. good, good, best of luck with that beta - I hope that you have written the dates on those first two HPTs - I still look at mine and get all sniffy, 22 months later. Julie B

Wow -- what news. Leaving out the dollar store nature of that test was unfair playing. But so glad to hear of the possibility. Do update as soon as you hear . . .

Am very very happy to hear about your test today. And get that beta done, we need more data. And as tertia said, it's all about us.

Oh, and those dollar tests should be banned. It's worth it to spend £20 per test (ok not really) to get a result you can trust.

Outstanding. I will keep my breath on the down-low until we get visual confirmation, but I have to say I'm very excited... And now I'm pacing. How long until your beta? Now? ... how about now? *pace, pace*

WHEEEE!!!! What great news! The first day back to work from your trip, you SHOULD be incredibly tired and gazing at those positive tests! This is SO exciting! Um, and I totally took my positive HPTs to work.

And I am sure they can slip in a beta for you. They had better.

Tell that nurse that if we don't get beta results by tomorrow, a herd of angry internets will be flocking to her door, pitchforks in hand, murmuring "kill".

Or just say "pretty please", your choice.

Hello?? Am going to vomit if I don't see update soon!

I actually worked with a crazy lady who carried her test around in her lab coat pocket all day and whipped it out to prove to the world that the twinge of nausea the day before was in fact pregnancy.

I was a bit unsure how to react, given I'd only met her the day before and holding a peestick wasn't the first way I usually get aquainted with people.

To each her own?

You know, I really think it is totally unacceptable that you are not updating hourly.

Now I have to go to bed without an update from you today. HAVE YOU NO HEART???

I am not sure we can be friends anymore.
