From The Dark Side Of The Street....
to the bright(er) side of the road.
We saw a sac. A sac!!!
Excuse me whilst I celebrate this, the furthest point we have ever gotten to. I know it is nothing and equally nothing is certain. But today there is a sac in my uterus.
For today, that will do.
More bloodletting was done, including another HCG and I have to go back to the clinic on Thursday. Guess what for??? Another HCG test to check appropriate doubling.
Feel free to roll your eyes with me and mutter savagely under your breath "Where were you last week when you were needed???
Aaah, the NHS. Slow to get going but once they have you in their grasp, it is like a juggernaut with 5 wheels.

Oh mrs madame pamplemousse, I can't tell you how utterly delighted I am to hear this, I was so fearful of another blasted ectopic. Hooray for a sac! Now let's have some lovely doubling, please.
Hot Damn! Now we're cookin' with gas! I am so excited, I may wet myself! Fucking Bloglines didn't update you, and I've been checking since 5:30 a.m. my time...luckily, I just clicked on you anyway...but that's ok...we have a sac! WE. HAVE. A. SAC.
A sac!!! Hooray! NBHHY.
Men googling around the world are saying, "Yeah, well I have two sacs!"
Those poor ignorant bastards.
*happy dance happy dance happy dance*
Hooray for a sac that's not in a tube! Hope the good news just keep coming for you.
This is heading in the right direction.
So glad for you Ms. P.!!
Keep it coming . . .
A sac! Not in a tube! Hooray!
A sac!! You have a sac! This is a v v good start.
I just jumped up and went WOOHOO real loud -- not such a good thing when you work in a library, but proper celebrating was needed [besides, who would shush me, *I* am the librarian ;-)]
This is brilliant news, simply brilliant. I can barely wait for those hcg numbers. Sending many, many doubling vibes your way.
Janie
Excellent work Madame, excellent!
I have been following your story via Tertia and Millie, and wishing you all the best!!
Crossing my fingers for you here in France !
Oh wow. I am so so happy for you poppet, yes I know one step at a time yada yada but oh dear heavens, a sac!
Yes, that *will* do nicely for today.
Alchemilla
Fantastic.
fantastic news! I am celebrating your sac-ness!
xo
Hooray for sac viewing! So happy to hear the news. Fingers triple-crossed!
A SAC!!!! Oh how wonderful. I know I might be getting ahead of myself and that a sac does not a baby make necessarily, but you can't get to a baby without a sac. And a sac means no ectopic.
Although why they are bothering to do betas now I don't get at all. Here they only care about betas UNTIL they see a sac. Not after.
When is the next ultrasound?
So freakin' happy for you. Just tell me when I can book my ticket...
I almost couldn't concentrate in my test this morning. I just wanted to say, "Um, excuse me, but I'm waiting for word from Ms. PM, and can we just postpone this exam nonsense?" I checked in about 5:45 am too. And then I came home to find this wonderful sacness news. Sac! Sac! What a glorious word. Love to you and the sac!
Happy day! A sac is beautiful news! So v. v. pleased for you. Put a bright sspot in my own personal blight of a day. So glad to hear about the sac...:) smiles abound. xxmoo
OMG woohoo!!! Grow little baby, grow!!
Yay!! I can't wait to hear the (good, we hope and pray!) news soon that things are looking well and more certain!
But you are right..for now, this is wonderful news!! Better here and uncertain than the alternative, after all!
A sac. I am so pleased. I can't tell you how much.
And as for the NHS. Drives. me.med.
Hurrah for the sac!
Long time lurker, so happy for you!!
Oh that is fantastic. Wow. A sac. I must admit I was a bit worried about the ectopic possibility too - am so happy!
I recognise the 5-wheeled juggernaut!
Hooray, hooray! I know it's still early but what an exciting development.
I am so pleased to see this post, I have been following your story and checking every day. You give me hope that I may have the same news soon, I am heading to Cape Town for my 3rd DE cycle in 12 days time..... Congratulations!!

Hooray! What fantastic news!
OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!! OMG!!! I am stunned!! Standing besides myself! Last time I checked in with you, you'd tossed in the towel!!
This is the most exciting news of the year sweetie! I am so damned happy!!!!!
xoxox,
Linda
that's so wonderful! I second the idea to do away with the HCG levels now - try and convince them to do another scan in a week or 10 days. From experience, you can have gorgeous hcg numbers that falter..and falter again..but then the subsequent scan tells a different story [the 14 month old result of said faltering HCGs is`baa'ing along to Mickey Mouse on the tv, as we speak. err, as I type]. BEST of luck
I am so happy that things are looking good!! I am sending you all the sticky, HCG doubling vibes I can muster. Giant hugs to you!!
That is such wonderful news! I couldn't be happier for you. It's so nice to finally see this journey over for you and ending on such a happy note. I hope it's all smooth sailing for you from here. You certainly deserve it.
Emily
Thinking of you today!
Yes! Hurray for good news today!k
I am obsessing for you, hoping that that beautiful sac is in there doing very wonderful things. I am hoping that no news is good news.
How's it going? xx
Hoping all is well. Sending you all my love and best wishes.
Janie
