Lalalala...Feeling Groovy
Well, as groovy as one can feel 11 days away from a donor cycle in another hemisphere.
The oral estrogen started today and barring a few close calls, the week was relatively incident-free. Mr P is still alive, you will be glad to hear.
I hope it is not a sign but my two tomato plants are heading for the compost heap this weekend, having produced zero tomatoes. Flowers, tallness, leaves, yes but no fruit. Hmmm. A less well-balanced person could be thrown totally by that but me??? Ommmm.
I know it has been the cold and wet summer we had.....nothing else.
My nieces and nephew are here this weekend so there will be no rest until Monday.
Luckily, this last week of work should be pretty quiet. I have not a seminar or a workshop or even a presentation to deliver. Bliss. Just counting down to Friday when my 3 weeks holiday will start.

It's been a bad year for tomatoes, so don't read anything into it. Conversely, I had success with my plants but I'm still as barren as ever. I think the lesson we can all take away from this is: reading omens from tomato plants is plain impossible.
Yay! I saw you had written a new post a did a little wiggle. After cleaning up Nic's puke in her crib, its the little things that get me excited, tonight. ;) I can't wait to read all about it. Fuck the tomatoes...
yeah - what flicka said. B/c if my tomatoes could talk - yeah - YOU couldn't even listen - vile little plants.
Headache gone then? Woo hoo for different continents!
Ooh it doesn't bode well for me if our fertility relates to horticulture - for I am the kiss of death to anything that dares try to live in my garden! (excluding weeds!)
I am wishing you luck that things go smoothly from now until you leave and then you deal with nothing but good things after.
We will be there exactly at the same time. Look for an American woman with short hair reading Oprah magazine in the waiting room and maybe we can chat.
Here's to that lovely estrogen. May it take away your headaches and your grumpiness. Or at least the headaches.
You leave so soon!
And tell your anonymous commenter that things there really are different. It's unlikely any of you will spend much time in the waiting room.
So glad you sent me the link to the blog and can comment away at long last. My blog of library stuff is much less entertaining.
Glad that all is going well and that you will have an easy week at work before you take off. I have a parcel to mail to you, but doubt it will make it over the pond in time before your trip. I really must get more organized about these things.
Can't believe your are only over a week away from your cycle.
Good Luck!
Thumbs are held.
Tell Millie that I've already been there once, and indeed, I spent quite a while reading Oprah magazine in the waiting room. I'll have to admit, I hope my donor hasn't been accidently double booked. She's a rockstar as well, and its such a coincidence that our dates are the same.
That came around so fast! Wishing you every good luck

Wonderful news!
Hoping everything goes fantastically well.
Dropping by for the first time to introduce myself -- I'm on clicker duty for women TTC over 35. But you don't look at day over 33 ;-)
Will be catching up on your history. Best to you on this donor cycle. And feel free to drop by for a cup of tea anytime you find yourself in northern California

Hoping it is your turn this time. Did your tomatoes have blight, and how can you tell? (My non-greenhouse toms were also disastrous - the chickens had them as they kind of moulded before they ripened). But I heard you weren't supposed to compost blighted plants, as the blight stays in the compost.
Gardening tips always gratefully received - the garden is a great solace!
Wishing you lots of luck . . . I hope the kids brought as much fun and distraction as they did exhaustion!
