I used to watch WW religiously, but I haven't watched one episode in the last two seasons, since they've introduced Alan Alda and Jimmy Smits. Once the original writers left it just wasn't the same.

I've never actually watched an episode, but surely this is motivation to buy each and every box set of the show? That is, if you haven't already. When I show I like is cancelled, I pretend the purchase of every series is the only way I could possibly recover from my loss.

I don't know how to break the news to my husband.

I think you hit the nail on the head Ms. Pru: cancel a popular show before it completely craps out and rake in the dough from box-set sales.

I know! We've only just started watching it, and then John Spencer died and now it's over. That's so uncool. And they're canceling Will & Grace! What's left?

I'm sad about the cancellation and I never even watched the show. I can only imagine what you must be going through!

My husband is also devastated. But fret not - another whole season after the current one in the UK. So we get to see Matt Santos (swoon) as President, one hopes.

So sorry about the job not coming through. But I'm like you- the work stuff pales in comparison to everything else that needs to be dealt with...like the cancellation of WW. Horrible, I know. Is there another show in the wings (ha!) that you could form a new addiction to?
